Juan Carlos Linares ID'd as Man Shot by Anaheim Police Two Weeks Ago

Anaheim police shot Juan Carlos Linares back on October 15, but the public never knew his name until now. Shortly after the Weekly inquired, the department issued a press release this week identifying the 22-year-old Anaheim resident and revealing more info about the incident. Details remain slim despite the disclosure. Around 1:20 p.m., police tried to contact Linares near Euclid Street and Ball Road on the city's west side. The Orange County Probation Department requested they do so because he had violated the terms and conditions of his probation.
